May 2023 Kestrel Update

May Kestrel Update!

Dear Community Conservation Partners,

As of late May 2023, FoHVOS is excited to report that we have 18 occupied boxes, that is one more than last year. Most boxes average 5 eggs per box. Several of the chicks have already hatched and the parents are very busy keeping them fed.
We are thrilled that our number of occupied boxes is going up every year. Thanks to all our volunteer monitors, who we couldn’t do this without. If you are interested in becoming a kestrel box monitor for 2024, please reach out to bcraighead@fohvos.org.
